Welcome to the West Linn Softball Association Website, your home for softball in West Linn offering programs from kindergarten through competitive teen ASA programs.

FALL BALL REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

WLSA has opened its "Fall Softball"  program registration.  The "Fall Ball" program is designed to offer girls a chance to further develop their skills, while allowing them to still participate in other fall sports or activities. 

Cost:                $65      This fee does not include a uniform.  Most teams attempt to use the same uniform from spring, however for  some teams and players, there may be an additional uniform fee. 

Dates:              Sunday doubleheaders on 9/5, 9/12, 9/19 and 9/26.  Tournament on October 2-3. Practices are optional, some coaches will schedule optional practices to offer additional training for players. 

 Ages:               Programs are available for players born in the years 1994-2001.  Interested girls born in 2002 may be able to play based on thier ability to play with older players.  Players compete in the age level that they wil participate in the spring of 2011.  ASA age regulations apply.  16U (players born in 1994 and 1995), 14U (players born in 1996-1997), 12U (players born in 1998 and 1999), 10U (players born in 2000 and 2001-and again players born after 2001 will be considered).  There are no tryouts for fall ball.

Location:         Practices in West Linn, games are double headers on Sundays and are usually held in various locations around the area.  Many are played at Willamette Park in West Linn as well as Newberg, Canby, Sherwood etc.

 Registration is open until August 6^th.

SUMMER PLAYER CLINIC SET

The annual WLSA Summer Softball Clinic is a great way for the girls to build on the skills they learned this spring and have a lot of fun.  The clinic will once again be led by Jamie LeVeque, varsity softball coach at WLHS and his staff.  The clinic has been very popular in past years.

Cost:                $60

Dates:              August 19 and 20       9:00 – 12:00

Ages:               Grades 1 through 8

Location:         Willamette Park

The clinic will cover Fielding, Throwing, Bunting, Hitting, Base running and sliding fundamentals.  Athletes should bring a glove and softball bat if they have them.  Snacks and hot dogs will be provided at the end of the clinic on Friday.   All players registered by August 10^th will also receive a clinic T-shirt.  All proceeds from the clinic go to WLSA and help to pay for WLSA programs and equipment.

10UB Finishes 5th at State Tournament

Congratulations to the West Linn Lions 10UB for completing an outstanding season by finishing 5^th at the state tournament.  The Lions were coached by Scott Reavley.

Clinic a Big Hit!

Over 40 players attended the two day spring clinic conducted by varsity coach Jamie LeVeque and his staff.  Here are a couple pictures.  Watch for our summer clinic this August.
